    • Katherine Elizabeth Wunsch and Courtney Keith Dillard, both of Athens, were united in marriage on May 12th, 2012. The garden wedding was held at 6 o'clock in the evening at the Taylor-Grady House and was presided over by the Reverend Steve Watson, of Campus View Church of Christ, in Athens. Ceremony music was provided by Rebecca Floyd, of Athens. A candlelit, tented reception followed on the grounds of the Taylor-Grady House and was beautifully catered by A Divine Event. Joyce Phillips, of Winterville, created the four-tiered wedding cake, topped with an authentic 1950's bride and groom figurine. After the cutting of the cake, guests toasted the couple with iced cold milk served in vintage milk bottles adorned with vintage straws. Guests danced through the night to the music of The Debonaires. At the end of the evening, the couple, hand-in-hand, walked through a line of guests holding sparklers while the Mamas & the Papas' "Dream a Little Dream" played softly in the background. The couple departed in a 1969 Ford truck, generously loaned by the Carson family. The bride is the daughter of Robert Saunders Wunsch, of Paris, Texas, and Cheryl Lyn Wunsch, of Athens. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Saunders Wunsch, of Paris, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. James Andrew Stephenson, of Belton, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Evans Dillard, of Athens. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Allen Dillard, of Winterville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Nelson Brightwell, of Athens. Given in marriage by her grandfather, the bride wore a strapless silk A-line gown, designed by Amsale, with an asymmetrical neckline and bow detail at the back. To highlight the simplicity of the dress, the bride chose a vintage-style broach, which was pinned off-center at the waist and matched the hair pins which held her veil. She carried a large bouquet of pink and white peonies, carefully assembled by Kristie Rentz McGahagan, of Atlanta. Serving as bridesmaids were the bride's sisters, Melinda Gayle Wakefield, of Forgan, Okla., and Sarah Louise Wunsch, of Athens. Mary Brightwell Dillard, of Watkinsville, the niece of the groom, served as the flower girl while carrying the groom's childhood Easter basket filled with lavender sprigs. Groomsmen serving their brother were Joseph Nelson Dillard, of Athens, and Steven Thomas Ashley Dillard, of Watkinsville. The ring bearer was Shepard Thomas Ashley Dillard, of Watkinsville, the nephew of the groom. Serving as ushers were William Charles Kinard, of Athens, and Devin Lee Wakefield and Matthew Aaron Morris, of Forgan, Okla. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at the historic Leathers' Building, in downtown Athens, and was catered by A Divine Event. Music was provided by Wade Hester and his one-man band, Napoleon Solo. The couple spent the first part of their honeymoon in San Juan, Puerto Rico, before flying to their final destination in the British Virgin Islands. They will make their home in Athens.Font: http://m.onlineathens.com/celebrations/2012-09-11/celebrations-wunsch-dillard-marriage
